Howard and Carole Price became new members of VSS at the October, 2007 meeting.  Originally from the UK,they have been sailing for many years on the West Coast of the US where he was also in the marine industry.  On Saturday, 10/13 Howard joined Dave Lundy and John Lynch on Summertime for the monthly distance race.  From the results it is certain that he was a valuable addition to the crew.  The picture below is of Howard and Carole on Summertime just before the October Sundown Rally on 10/16.

Richard Rowe and Hester Wolters were guests a the October meeting.  He is from England and she is from the Netherlands.  They will be in the Sarasota area for most of the next year, but their home is in the French Pyrenees.  On Sunday, 10/14 they went sailing on Summertime on a beautiful sailing day!
